PTL offers customers an extremely wide product range including temperate hardwoods, tropical hardwoods, decorative veneer boards, clear softwoods, Scandinavian softwoods and laminated pine.

Tropical Hardwoods

Sabah Meranti (Majau), Malaysian Meranti, Brazilian Cedar, Sapele, Iroko, Idigbo and Utile.

Temperate (American) Hardwoods

White Ash, White Oak, Red Oak, Red Cherry, Tulipwood, Hard Maple and Black Walnut.

Temperate (European) Hardwoods

Steamed and Unsteamed Beech, European Oak.
All our European hardwoods are FSC or PEFC certified.

Decorative Veneer Boards

Veneered MDF is available to match the hardwood range. PTL routinely stock 19mm and 13mm V2S boards plus 4mm V1S. The standard board size is 2440 x 1220.

Scandinavian Softwoods

Scandinavian Red Pine from 25mm to 100mm thick, in widths from 100mm to 225mm.

Finger Jointed Laminated Red Pine

Finger Jointed Laminated Red Pine is a unique engineered timber product, stable and sustainable, which is designed to eliminate the problem of warping and twisting in Red Pine joinery components. Available in 6m lengths, this innovative finger-jointed product is manufactured from European Red Pine and incorporates what might otherwise be waste timber, making it sustainable and economic. Its engineered nature ensures stability and high performance and its uniformity makes it easy to process.

Clear-faced Laminated Red Pine

Comprising sideboard quality, virtually defect-free Red Pine, glued to a laminated Red Pine core, this material is produced in door lengths of 2.5m, 2.1m, 1.1m and 0.9m and in thicknesses of 44, 48 and 60mm. It is also available in Larch.

Both products present a 100% knot-free, clear Red Pine face and from 2006 all laminated Red Pine products will be FSC certificated.

Laminated Hardwoods

PTL has developed a full range of laminated European Oak components to assist its customer base. All of the oak components are supplied ‘dressed all round’ or ‘S4S’ ready for further manufacture. The current range comprises:
