Accoya

Accoya takes a softwood and modifies it using a process called ‘acetylation’. This enhances its properties to give Class 1 durability, comparable to a tough hardwood. Please note that stainless steel fixings must be used with Accoya products to avoid corrosion.

Durawood thermawood

Durawood uses ‘thermal modification’ to enhance the properties of a low density hardwood and improve its durability. The thermal modification process involves subjecting the timber to steam and heat to change the cell structure.

Durability – BS EN 350-2 Class 2, suitable for exterior usage (above ground) in BS EN 335 use class 3 applications.
